It's Boogie Time!
Registration is now open for the 11th Annual Shelby Bottoms Boogie 15K/5K Race!
On Saturday, October 2, please join us for this family-friendly event, and enjoy a flat, fast race course in beautiful Shelby Park.
All proceeds from the event benefit CASA.

You may also register at CASA's office at 601 Woodland St. in East Nashville. Please use cash or check to register at CASA.
Certified Courses: The certified courses are fast and flat. Both the 5K and 15K will start in Shelby Park in front of Riverview Shelter. then enter onto Shelby Bottoms Greenway. The 5K follows a short loop back to Park Road and then loops around Shelby Lake, with Finish back at Start Line from opposite direction. The 15K continues along the Greenway for an out and back portion before connecting back up to the 5K course.
Race Management and Timing: This is a ChampionChip timed event, with Race Management and Results by the Nashville Striders., Inc.
Awards for 15K and 5K: There will be special awards for the Top Three Overall M/F Finishers,Top 3 Masters M/F and Top 3 Grandmasters M/F. The Age Group Awards will be 3 deep, starting with 14 & under and through age 80+ in 5 year increments. Note: 5K Age Group begins 10 & under, 11-14. You must be present to receive any award. The 15K Run is also part of the Nashville Striders 2010-2011 Grand Prix Series.
Registration/Packet Pick-up: Race day registration and packet pick-up will be available at the Riverview Picnic Shelter starting at 6:00am race morning. The picnic shelter is adjacent to the start.
Tote Bags and Shirts: All pre-registered runners are guaranteed a commemorative race t-shirt. All race participants will receive a race logo tote bag stuffed with goodies from our sponsors. Commemorative t-shirts will be given to race day registrants as numbers allow.
Parking: The Shelby Bottoms Greenway parking lot will be closed to parking on race morning. There is abundunt free parking in Shelby Park. We encourage participants to park in the large parking lot outside the greenway entrance that is under the railroad tressle near the finish line. It is 1/4 mile distance to the start line.
Striders ReachOut: The Nashville Striders ReachOut Committee will gather donations of race shirts and other clothing at this year's Shelby Bottoms Boogie. Designated containers will be available for your donations. We welcome donations of clothing items in children's or adult sizes that are clean and in good condition. For more information on the ReachOut program and its recipients, please visit their website.
Other: Shelby Park will be closed to any traffic so the entire run is traffic free and you will get to enjoy the beauty of the park. This event is intended for runners, walkers, joggers, and all who wish to celebrate the day in this lovely scenic park in East Nashville.
